LAKE WATEREE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The church on the corner of Old Windmill and River Road, known for many years as "The Chapel" has been reborn/renamed to its original name of Lake Wateree Presbyterian Church.  Adjoining the church area and part of the 15 acre property is a lovely well kept cemetery.

Founded in 1989 and having recently celebrated its 20th birthday, the church has embarked on an ambitious updating including the large new modern sign (and numerous other directional roadside signs in the area) as well as structural and cosmetic upgrades to the buiding.  A fresh paint job, new carpet and tile, new chairs are all a part of the redo.  Their big, blue sign reads: "New Sign.  New-Old Name.  Same Friendly People.  Come Visit".

Visitors are always welcome to the Sunday worship service at 9:00 a.m.  There's ample parking and lots of warm souls inside to meet and greet visitors especially during the summer months.  LWPC welcomes children as well.  A short fellowship time with refreshments follows the worship service.  An occasional special meal and/or picnic is always a possibility.

LPC's minister is Dr. Fran Bragan, who also serves as Chaplin at the Presbyterian Home/Communities located at US 378 and I-20 in Lexington,  She is a dynamic and entertaining "minister of the word and gospel".

The Presbyterian Women in Trinity Presbytery's Coordinating Team will be holding their November meeting at Lake Wateree Presbyterian.

The address is 357 Old Windmill Road, Ridgeway, and the phone is 803-337-2092.  Check  it out!!
